For all of those that don’t know me, here is a little bit about me and what I can offer as a Coalville City Councilmember.  I am a professional civil engineer that has worked in local government for over 6 years with the Summit County Engineering Department.  In my time with the county I have dealt with everything from big commercial and housing developments, to small subdivisions with farmers.  I have also dealt with infrastructure, traffic, and code changes.  About 5 years ago my family and I started building our house here to put down roots.  We were drawn here because of the natural beauty and my wife’s family, the Aagards, use to run sheep up in this area.  I feel that Coalville is made up of people that where born and raised here and people that are drawn here because of the way of life, and that’s what I represent.  Fresh ideas coming in to protect what is already here, but also build on it.  I am pro property rights and feel that people should be able to do what they see fit with their property as long as it complies with local codes and does not adversely affect the health, safety, or welfare of those around them.  I am for responsible economic growth to allow incentives for businesses that provide more local jobs and for more density to developments if it makes housing more affordable.  Feel free to call, email, or text with any questions or to talk.
